What’s in My Makeup Bag

I’m an incredible nosy person at times (or maybe with certain things) and can genuinely think of nothing I enjoy more than seeing inside peoples makeup bags (or the makeup they carry in their handbags). So I thought I’d be nice and show you all inside mine 😉 The products I have in my bag are usually the ones I genuinely love because I’ll be using them on a daily basis. I sometimes have a few products I’m trying out or trying to finish up but I think that can also be interesting.

So, this is my makeup bag – let’s have a look inside! The bag itself was from Home Bargains over a year ago so I doubt they still have this one in stock but they often have amazing finds.

Rimmel Fix & Protect SPF25 Makeup Primer 005: I’m currently trying this out, I’m not sure I like it as a primer for my skin. I do really like it mixed in with my foundation to make more of a tinted moisturiser.

L’Oreal Glam Bronze Eau De Soleil: This feels incredible and my skin feels so silky every time I use it, a little goes a very long way though (I may have looked bright orange the first time I used it). I also like mixing this with my foundation to make it a bit darker and more luminous.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 103 True Ivory: probably my all time favourite foundation, I love how natural it looks. Definitely not the foundation for you if you’re looking for full coverage.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Warm Medium 3: I use this as both a concealer and eyelid primer and it works well as both. It can be a little cakey on drier skin but as my skin tends to combi-oily-shine-hell it works so well for me!

MAC Viva Glam Gaga: I didn’t edit what was in my makeup bag sooooo there are a few limited edition / discontinued items in here. I love this baby pink lipstick at the moment.

Cotton Buds: need I say more. I have a whole tub next to me when I do my makeup but some always sneak into my bag.

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Dark Blond: this defo has mixed reviews. I like it, it’s easy to use and not too much colour or hold. Ideal for using with an eyebrow pencil.

Model Co More Brows in Light Medium: a new favourite. This product actually gives me brows! It’s easy to go overboard with my invisible eyebrows and this product but when I get it right I’ve never had better brows.

Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil in 653 Blonde: I still have this in my bag for the spoolie but this is great for orange/ginger/red hair.

Tweezerman Slant Tweezer: an obvious essential!

Smashbox Angle Brow Brush: a lot thicker than an angled eyebrow brush, this might not give precision lines but for filling in my brows with shadow quickly I haven’t found anything better. If you can’t get on with using powder to fill in your brows this could be the answer, it was a game changer for me.

EcoTools Travel Blush Brush and Kabuki Brush (seemingly discontinued set): I tried to find these on the EcoTools website but they don’t seem to have the set anymore. It’s not as hygienic keeping my brushes in my makeup bag but it’s so conveniant! If you can find this set it’s amazing for travelling.

MAC Eyeshadow in Omega: not technically in my makeup bag as I have it in my MAC palette but this is my current choice for filling in my brows before I set them.

Sleek MakeUP i-Divine in Oh So Special: this is my current favourite from Sleek after a year and a half of almost exclusively using Storm. I need to do a separate review of this palette as it’s SO gorgeous. It also stays put on my lids all day long (bonus)!

MeMeMe Eye Line Eye Pencil in Clay: I love brown liner, it looks that bit less harsh against blue eyes – especially for daytime/everyday wear. I mainly put this in my tightline to beef up my lashes or along my lower lash line for definition.

Givency Noir Couture Volume-Mascara in Black Taffeta: this was a sample from a beauty box. I’m still on the fence with this; the wand is a bit large, it does smudge but it also gives me such gorgeous voluminous lashes. Probably not worth the price I’m refusing to look up 😛

Royal & Langnickel S.I.L.K PRO Taklon Short Liner C456: I don’t know why I find this brush so useful but it’s make it’s way into my makeup bag I use it so much. Perfect for creating a winged liner, putting colour on the lower lash line, carving out a cut-crease… I love it.

EcoTools Travel Flat Eyeshadow Brush and Blending Brush (seemingly discontinued set)

Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Antigua 2: I’m trying to use this up currently. It’s a lovely product but the shade is only really good for me when I’m super pale where it warms up the skin so beautifully. When I’m not pale it’s a little too red-toned.

Sleek MakeUP Blush in Rose Gold: I love the shade and texture of this. It’s a little shimmery for my liking, especially as I like quite a strong blush. I often use this as an eyeshadow and it looks gorgeous when I’m pale and/or have red-toned hair.

MAC Sheertone Blush in Peaches: this is a holy-grail forever favourite, the first blush I ever owned. I love this on anyone with pale skin and blonde-ish hair.

KIKO Top Pairs Blush in Raspberry Rose and Peach: I’m not a fan of the pink side, it’s a little too close to the colour I blush (which I know people say looks the prettiest but it’s not for me) and it doesn’t blend brilliantly. The peach side, however, is stunning. When I run out of this blush I will be devastated as it was a limited edition one, very tempted to search on eBay for a replacement!

What do you have in your makeup bag? If you have a post about it I’d love to see it! I didn’t use a makeup bag for the longest time as I always had a table just for doing my makeup. I’m glad I do now though as it makes doing my everyday makeup so much quicker having everything in one place!
